Idiots Experiencing Freedom
Green boys screaming across the field-head-ankles-knees-neck and toes
Flying where they ought not go- the gate- the gate agape!
Meat Ball eating hay, glad to pass the time of day where he should not be- two gates!
Run as fast as sixty can, one eye on the road, one on the 80 year old man-the bull and eleven idiots experiencing freedom- the gate-the garden-the road!
Throwing panels across the drive in time to stop the idiots drive as they experience freedom- just in time to turn them back!
Excitement-excitement-young crias love excitement- pronking jumping head down bucking-catch McGee’s rope 40 feet flying- twisting neck and flying feet-out the gate around the field screaming-screaming- ribbon flying- the monster is going to kill me! Screaming choking -double twist- back to the pen and out of wind saved for today! Running as fast as sixty can.

Green boys speeding down the drive with not purpose nor direction, idiots experiencing freedom, saved from the road- surprised to be turned back- the gate and 40 acres of freedom ahead -look girls! ! All bunched up and standing tall-stepping light- look girls! Easy to guide back through the gate-dogs barking turn them back- look girls!- one more time back through the gate- old man helps but can’t move fast- wincing at the knees- 11 green boys make it back- past the sacred garden to the barn- now looking ,“what’s the matter?”
Meat Ball eating hay, glad to pass the time of day, where he should not be. Please follow? Slowly move hay through the gate back past the sacred garden. Meat Ball usually follows the plate but not today-look girls! Meat Ball all two thousand pounds, leaving hoof marks in the ground heading down the drive- look girls! Dogs think it’s time to help! Watch the old man-stop the dogs- run as fast as 60 can. Massive head and neck are shaking-snap, snap-snap the roses breaking-round the trailer- stop the dogs, is the old man safe? Turn the hose on the massive beast-he goes home looking, “what’s the matter” when idiots experience freedom.
