Nut Cases and Disasters - 2006/04/01 23:32 I am flabbergasted!

Over on the alpacapolitics site, one of our esteemed AOBA Board members writes:

"Recall the silliness of the elected ARI board members last year - who was nominated by 20 people? He lasted two weeks on the ARI board if I recall after making some distinctly ill advised comments on the
alpacasite. I don't think we need that kind of silliness in the future.

"That is why more than 20 are needed to nominate an ARI board member by petition. I think 60 people is enough if you are serious. Thereare at least 20 nut cases out there, but likely not 60"

"Based on last year's experience we need more than 20 people. That guy was a disaster!"

So, does this mean that all that voted for this "disaster" are now "nut cases"?

This has to be a new low in alpaca land.

Re:Nut Cases and Disasters - 2006/04/02 00:50 Nah, it gets lower:

"The people I know who voted for him were quite embarrassed by his behavior. They were told by Ana and by another board member that he was a bright man who would work with the board to improve things. He
did improve things when he resigned!"

And then in another post:

"I was actually being polite about that ARI board member (who lasted two weeks). If I wanted to be completely frank, I would have gone to... where I could really say what I felt."

WOW! A bit too much invective for me on this fine day.

Re:Nut Cases and Disasters - 2006/05/03 05:06 Well I am equally amazed..I think !

I don't know the individuals.. the board member or the alleged "nut case". But it is a great pity we have come to this.

Re:Nut Cases and Disasters - 2006/05/04 23:55 A pity indeed.

It will be interesting to see who gets voted in this election cycle.
