National Conference - 2006/05/25 18:04
The AOBA National Conference was quite the experience. After leaving Portland at 11PM I arrivedin Louisville at 9:30 the following morning. The Co-op Board met at noon to pin down the final details for our Annual Meeting, which was held at 2:30.
Friday I attended a meeting of Affiliate Presidents in Adrian's place. No real agenda or focus to this meeting, except to schedule another in August.
Saturday the Co-op had two seminars in the morning which I spoke at.
Time went by pretty fast.
Competition in the light classes was fierce. On the other hand, the dark classes seemed to be lacking the same numbers and quality.
There was a fair amount of grumbling about AOBA and the directions being pursued. not a good sign in my opinion.
All in all a good trip.
